Author Biography

Dr. Hwa Young Caruso, Molloy College

Dr. Hwa Young Choi Caruso was born and educated in Seoul, South Korea. She received a doctorate at Teachers College Columbia University, completed a MFA at the University of Connecticut and a BFA at Ewha Womans University in Korea. Dr. Caruso is Associate Professor of Art at Molloy College. She teaches Art Education, History of Western Art, East Asian Art History, Studio Art and has taught at the University of Connecticut and Western Connecticut State University. Dr. Caruso lectured about art education, art history, critical art theory, studio art practice and cultural diversity at Harvard University, Yale University, Columbia University, New York University, Princeton University, Rutgers University, CUNY York College, State University of New York at New Paltz, Central CT State University, Seton Hall University, Southern CT State University, Molloy College and NAEA National Art Education Association. She is Art Review Editor and published book chapters, articles and art reviews in The Journal of Aesthetic Education, The International Journal of Multicultural Education, the Electronic Magazine of Multicultural Education, and Dissertation Monograph 2 Columbia University.
