Erlinda Teniente Valderas, the author of this book review, is a PhD candidate in the Culture, Literacy & Language doctoral program at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Bilingual Education and a Master’s Degree in Bicultural- Bilingual Studies with a concentration on Teacher Education. She also holds a Texas Principal Certificate. She is currently working on her dissertation. The author has researched and reviewed Teaching for Biliteracy: Strengthening Bridges between Languagesand has a plethora of experience and knowledge in working with diverse populations, primarily with English language learners in low socioeconomic areas.
