Abstract

Teacher motivation as a factor influencing student academic achievement, with reference to teacher and student performance in Pakistani schools. Based on quantitative data from teachers and students in secondary and primary schools, the study will examine the impact of various motivation techniques, including positive feedback, rewards, and positive teacherstudent relationships, on both academic and professional performance. The structured questionnaires were administered to 200 teachers and 300 students, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlations, and multiple regression models. Results indicate that motivational techniques and strategies account for a significant portion of the variance in student achievement, with positive feedback and teacher support emerging as the strongest predictors. Teachers also complained that institutional encouragement, recognition, and rewards increased job satisfaction and teaching performance. The research paper highlights the importance of implementing systematic motivational practices in schools and teacher training programs. The policy, administration, and teaching recommendations are given to enhance motivation-based education reforms.
