The growing Pak-Russia strategic alliance has assumed an active and pivotal role in the current geopolitics of South Asian region. The past tension of Cold War-era and later realignment has lent an intricate trajectory to their bilateral relations. The recent history of alliance between these countries has witnessed the convergence of interests in counter-terrorism, energy security and regional stability. These converging interests have driven both the nations towards shaping closer ties and transcending the legacies of the past. The strategic entente of both the countries covers broad consequences for regional and international geopolitics. The paper meticulous examines the role which is played by defence collaboration, energy cooperation and diplomatic overtures in the crystallization of the strategic links between Pakistan and Russia. The predominant aim of the research is to quest the multi-layered dimensions of the strategic alliance of both the countries and the reflective consequences on the contemporary geopolitics of South Asia.
