Abstract

The Indian Ocean the as the third- largest Ocean is the busiest sea trading route has turned into region of India and china power struggle. Both powers have their economical, strategic as well as political interests in the area. China’s growing expansion in Indian Ocean raising the competitive and incompatible environment with India. India is located on the top of the Indian Ocean and its strategist believes that China has the hegemonic intensions in the region and she will set the India in its backyard, therefore India is revisiting its Act East Policy to maintain the power balance and counter the China’s influence in the region. The goal of the research is to explore the counter strategic policies of China and India to save their interests in Indian Ocean. The qualitative method is used for this research.
