Abstract

Among the challenges facing the modern age is the growing trend of honor killings. A few years ago such incidents were seldom heard but nowadays the rate at which honor killings are taking place is a matter of great concern۔ There is no scope for any person to be killed without a court of law. It is the duty of the court to punish the culprit for his crime after interrogation and investigation, which may include the death penalty. But no individual has the power to He should kill any other human being in the name of honor. What is the meaning of honor, what are its types? And what is its wisdom? And what is the status of honor killing in Islamic law? And what is the effect of honor killing on family life? Choosing this topic in view of these important questions.
