Abstract

The rapid development of digital technologies and the transformation of the modern labor market require new approaches to career guidance for school students. In this context, the formation of professional orientation among high school learners becomes an important component of the educational process, helping students make informed decisions about their future professional paths. Digital technologies create new opportunities for improving career guidance by providing access to diverse information resources, interactive learning environments, and personalized educational tools. The purpose of our study is to examine the possibilities of using digital technologies in the formation of professional orientation among high school learners. The research focuses on identifying effective digital tools and pedagogical approaches that contribute to students’ awareness of different professions, development of career interests, and formation of motivation for future professional activity. Special attention is given to the role of digital platforms, online career guidance programs, virtual simulations, and multimedia resources in supporting students’ professional self-determination.

The study highlights that the integration of digital technologies into career guidance activities increases students’ engagement, expands their access to up-to-date information about the labor market, and supports the development of key competencies necessary for the digital economy. Furthermore, digital tools enable individualized learning trajectories and allow educators to implement innovative methods of professional orientation. The findings emphasize the importance of systematic pedagogical support and the effective use of digital resources in shaping students’ professional interests and career choices. The results of the study may be useful for teachers, school administrators, and career guidance specialists in developing modern educational strategies aimed at improving the process of professional orientation for high school learners.
