Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the challenges and opportunities of preschool children’s parents during the time of organizing distance learning. In this study, the challenges of parents of preschool children were assessed using the quantitative survey model, proving numerous challenges that have had a negative impact on parents of preschool children. The research was carried out in 2021 with 240 parents of preschool children from 12 municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo, of which 38 are in total. From the research, it was found that distance learning for preschool children is a serious challenge for parents, therefore the institutions of preschool education are obliged to find facilitating mechanisms to help parents. In contrast, from the research question and from the final data, we came to the conclusion that female parents compared to male parents have had a better cooperation with their children. The study has clearly shown that in cases where there is good cooperation between parents and educators, the results are also expected.
