Social changes and modernism trends in the 21st century have led new generations to forget and not give continuity to their region's historical and cultural legacy. This invaluable heritage includes historical sights of interest, museums, monuments, and artworks, among others, which have been forgotten or underestimated their importance in the country's history. In this regard, this research was conducted to make the school the appropriate place to revive and transmit the historical-cultural traditions and not let such a magnificent legacy die. The results from educational technology use corresponded to a quantitative study estimating the academic performance variable in Social Sciences based on Educational Multimedia as an independent incidence variable. It was concluded that the integration of ICT and particularly educational multimedia allows for innovating school activities and thus rescuing traditions and cultural legacies that are the basis for the construction of students' cultural identity.
